Privacy Policy

The short version: Rails is a local-first app. Your routines, stops, and history live on your device by default. We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads.

What we collect

Automatically, on all installs:

Crash reports. If the app crashes, we receive a report with basic device info (OS version, device model) and a stack trace via Firebase Crashlytics. No personal information is included.
Usage analytics. Anonymous events like "app opened" or "route started" are sent to Firebase Analytics so we can understand how the app is used. These are not linked to your identity.
Anonymous ID. On first launch, Firebase assigns a random identifier to your device. It's not linked to your name, email, or anything personal.

Only if you choose to sign in:

Email address and name, collected via Google Sign-In, to identify your account for cloud sync.
Your app data. Routes, stops, and completion history are synced to our database so you can restore or access them across devices.

What we don't collect

Your contacts, camera, or microphone
Advertising profiles
Your data is never sold to third parties

Your rights

Delete your data. Deleting the app removes all local data. If you signed in, email us and we'll delete your cloud data within 30 days.
Opt out of analytics. You can turn off analytics in the app's Settings screen.
Export. A data export tool is on the roadmap.

Children

Rails is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If our data practices change, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top.
